GETSO Scraps & Multi-Purpose Company Ltd was founded with a simple conviction: every piece of waste is a resource in the wrong place. Operating from Lagos — Africa's largest urban economy — we combine boots-on-the-ground collection, industrial recovery, and digital coordination to make recycling reliable, profitable and inclusive.
Today we work with households, manufacturers, government agencies and development partners to divert thousands of tons of recyclables every year, create dignified green jobs, and build the technology backbone Africa's circular economy needs to scale.

Usman Yusif Suraj is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of GETSO Scraps & Multi-purpose Company Ltd and the visionary behind GETSO WasteConnect, a digital platform designed to modernize Africa's recycling and circular economy ecosystem.
Since founding GETSO in 2022, he has led waste recovery, recycling, environmental sustainability, and circular economy initiatives focused on transforming waste into economic opportunity. Through a combination of operational expertise, technology innovation, and strategic partnerships, he is building scalable solutions that connect households, waste collectors, recyclers, manufacturers, investors, and government stakeholders.
His work focuses on advancing environmental sustainability, green job creation, resource recovery, and digital transformation across Nigeria and Africa.
